Default ac problem

the a/c is leaking this fluid (proly water) into the car, the passenegr side floor get's wet, this is only when the a/c is on

what could be the problem and how much to fix it?

also when i start the car ,you know how at first it revs up to like maybe 2100-2500 or more, well the car idles at like 100-200 and then it revs up, like it delays the rev. and then after 1.2-7 sec. it does it

any thoughst

For the first problem. The condensor for the AC is on the passenger side and normally water dumps right after the passenger side tire. The tube may be clogged or somewhere in the condensor pan it's cracked so check that out.

I don't think i have enough insight to help you out with the second problem though. It could be a lot of things. Fuel filter, fuel pump, ECU at idle speeds, and many other things. I'm sure someone has had this problem and can help you out

all right so if the tube was clogged or pan was cracked is it a DIY thing or how much you think a mechanic would charge me?

thanks for all your help

the part in question is called the evaporator. the condensor is in front of the radiator. the evaporator case is most likely clogged with debris. to repair it correctly you will have to remove the evap case and clean it out. if you don't have the proper a/c equipment to evacuate the a/c system, take it to a qualified shop. you could try a short light blast of compressed air into the evap drain tube to loosen the clog. but most likely it will clog up again.

the water outlet hose on the passenger side probably just came loose

The evaporator is usually in the passenger side dash.

If I were you, I would turn on the AC and just simply look under there to see where the water is coming from. most likely the hose, just put it back in place or replace if broken.

Here's what I do first.. Check the Evap **** line and see if water runs out with the AC on.. If not, take a blow gun and blow air into the line, that should free up any debris clogged within the line.. Works everytime..

On a 3rd-gen integra that evaporator drain line is way forward in the passenger footwell. Right where you can kick it with your toe. See if it's disconnected. Otherwise, squeeze it & try to get the crud to flush out.
