ABS/VSA light on after new abs sensors.
05 TSX
Pls don't move this the TSX section is dead, I did my ball joints and brake pads ALL OEM Honda in the process I replaced my ABS sensors with OEM Honda ones. I put them in admittedly backwards but the sensor can only go in one way... would that cause it to read wrong?. I had the old sensors removed and the holes cleaned up at a shop the new sensors went in just fine.
before this my lights never came on and everything was fine pressing the VSA button does nothing, at first the light didn't come on then when I drove up our driveway it did. When I first turned the abs made that chatter sound then the lights stayed on.

Re: ABS/VSA light on after new abs sensors.
Swapped them to their correct sides inspected the sensors both are fine, cleaned them with "ABS safe" cleaner and sprayed out the holes just to be safe. Un hooked the battery for a few mins the light still is on, at first the light wasn't on even when I had them incorrectly in. Checked the VSA fuse it's fine saw nothing in the under the dash section for ABS or vsa, I have a scanner can I just use it the same way to see ABS codes?.

To check codes
1. Short the #9 and #4 pin on the DLC.
2. Turn ignition switch to ON.
3. Count the flashes from the indicator light.
To reset
1. With the ignition switch OFF
2. Short the SCS circuit to body ground (#4 and #9) pin using a paperclip
3. Press the brake pedal.
4. Turn the ignition switch ON (II) while keeping the brake pedal pressed.
5. After the ABS indicator goes off, release the brake.
6. After the ABS indicator goes on, press the brake pedal again.
7. After the ABS indicator goes off, release the brake again.
8. After a few seconds, the ABS indicator blinks twice and the DTC is cleared. If the ABS indicator
stays on after it blinks twice, check the DTC, because a problem was detected during the initial diagnosis
before shifting to DTC clearing mode.
9. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
10. Disconnect the paperclip from the DLC.
