where is the ABS sensor located in the rear wheels? i broke mine off and i do not know wat to replace to get my ABS back. can i just replace the sensor? or do i have to change out whatever it is connected to? is it expensive to fix? worth it? thxs for the help. o ya... forgot to mention my car is a 97 gsr.
the sensor is on the bottom portion of the hub...you have to take off a metal box that covers it and 2 screws out of the wire holder that are also on the hub section keeping the wire for the sensor from moving around and getting damaged. The sensor itself is replaceable, and it shouldn't be too expensive. You might have to solder it back on to the wire(don't know about how it is connected, but know where it is and how to take it off)
Most likely it comes with a foot or 2 of it's own wire. Then it unplugs from the harness somewhere. I don't know about the back, but the front wheel sensors unplug inside the engine compartment & the wire attaches to the knuckle & the fender. You might have to peel back some carpeting in the trunk to find the plug.
