Default ABS problem in snow

so today we got a bit of snow. enough to make the roads slick and somewhat of a PITA to drive on. i noticed while driving that if i hit the brakes to hard, when the ABS kicks in, it sounds like something is knocking around in the wheel well...ive only had the car since october, and when its warm out, ive never had this problem, even under some hard braking. the only time its happened is when i start sliding a little bit on the snow

anyone have something similar happen, and if so, what was the solution?

car is a bone stock 95 gs-r

Or you can slow the hell down in the snow so you dont have to slam on the brakes.

The pulsation of the pedal, and the noise that it makes, is normal. Just like everyone's telling you.

if you're talking about the sound that the ABS makes when it engages (because it does make noise and you should be able to feel it in the pedal when it does this) it's normal.

to the previous poster two posts above me: he's probably not even driving that fast, when it was hailing down here, even slowing down from like 20 mph at a stop sign caused the abs to kick in.. but then again, I was using summer tires :D (it's california, don't tell me not to use summer tires in the winter, lol)

yeah...not really a matter of driving insanely fast...the time i noticed it was in an empty parking lot trying to get used to this car in the snow. ive only had it a few months...this plus the fact the previous owner has some bridgestone potenzas on it is making snow driving a little slick
