ABS light keeps coming on
what is causing the ABS light to keep coming on. it will only do it occasionally, but its getting annoying. the brakes work fine (minus the squeeking)...if i turn off the car and then crank it back up it will go off for a day or so, then it will come back on
if it turns on when you start the car and does not turn off it is something in the abs unit its self. If it turns on while you are driving it is a wheel speed sensor. Hope this helps

Quit guessing. Check the stored ABS computer codes. You pull these the same way that you pull a CEL.

IF you have stomped on the brakes really hard recently to make a sudden stop that may have been the problem. As far as a diagnostic goes, you could unhook the battery cables and let everything restart up again. That might do it. At least thats what I did once upon a time.
it would help if could get a scanner and pull some codes! about 50 things could cause that light to come on! if it comes on when you start to drive its most likely a speed sensor! make sure all four are pulg in!
