Icon3 99 LS

Let me start off by saying; I have a Automactic Ls with 185k miles. Whenever I would start her up in the morning, I would get a sudden jerk/jump whenever I would switch her from Parking to Drive. I'm wondering if anyone else experience this problem ? Thanks !

Are you parked on a hill or a slanted driveway? My civic gets that jump/jerk whenever I'm on a hill or a pretty slanted driveway.

No, I'm parked on a pretty straight street. It's a unusual jerk and feeling, i'm just curious if it's the engine itself or the transmission.

When your LS starts up, what do the RPMs do? Some older rides start hard above 1000 RPMs and then settle... cranky with age.

Sometimes it can be faulty components weakening before they fail.
I had an issue like that with a IACV my old 94, I could drive with just the clutch... anyway if your RPMs are above 1k before you drag it out of park it is like pressing the gas pedal, which in an auto could lead to jerking.
