I hate **** talkers. Everyone who knocks them, usually hasnt even tried it. A few ***** have built them with old worn stock components, and had them blow. WTF do u expect? Sure they're not perfect for full-on race conditions but 99% of people are making them for their street driven cars anyhow. I'm about to start building a CRVtec, and i'm gonna let the results speak for themselves. I'm not being dumb about it though, i'm using new rods/pistons/bearings etc. I'm building mine with 10:1 comp, and plan on boosting it later on.

[Argument 1] "crv block cant rev past 8k!"
How many people rev their car past 8k daily anyways? even stock B16as arent stable past 8k STOCK, without mods. And who is gonna build a CRVtec with stock components and plan to rev high? hardly anyone.
[Argument 2] "vtec isnt good for turbo!"
[Argument 3] "10:1 is way too high for boost!"
I dont feel like getting into 2 and 3 here, there are probably tons of threads already on these subjects on this and other boards. can u say "tune the damn car"

Yes I'm building my ls/vtec right now. IT will be done in a few weeks. They are reliable if built right. I'm sick of hering people say this same ****, "not reliable", "can' t rev high"! **** them. Anything can be done if done right. ANYTHING! I'm using brand new everything in my setup except for the crank, rods, and the Actual block itself. Ask Hybridrex, he has plenty of miles on his set up.

******* are just pissed that their R will get beat by my ls/vtec hatch.

You know you can't post anything here without me findin it

Your motor will be reliable when its done now that you have the factory crank that I sold ya Mike's car is a monster, but it has broken an oil pump and spun a rod bearing in the past year. Granted both of these breaks were after hard dyno time and runs @ the track, the car is still a streetable 10 second beast. The car burnt 16 vavles on spray and burned 4 pistons on boost/spray. Nothing abnormal of a 1.8L honda making over 500HP at the crank. I think the bugs are worked out well now and he's running 138mph traps without wheelie bars. Only a matter of time before it's in the 9's, homebuilt non-sponor LS/VTEC
