Default 98 itr engine in an LS

i just got a 98 itr b18c1 and going to drop it in to my 2000 ls. Can i pass smog in cali. I have gotin diffrent answers from people. from what i heard as long as its from the same car theres no prob. is this true or i have no chance of it pasing any help would be greatfull.

No you are not going to pass smog with the itr motor. But you can BAR the motor enabling you to have and smog that motor in your car.

you can only BAR a engine that is of the same year or NEWER. in other words, its not legal to put a 98 year engine in your ls. BUT if you are swappin any other integra motor you dont have to BAR anything because the b18c1 and c5 were both offered in 2000. and another thing...are you sure its a itr motor and not a gsr? the only reason i ask is because the type r is c5 not c1.
