98-01 OEM ITR LIP vs. ABS Plastic comparison pics
I've been searching for the OEM ITR lip for a while now, and have always wondered whether to get an imitation. I've always asked myself, "Is the imitation gonna fit or hold up as good as the OEM one?" Well as we all know, the OEM lip is costly and rare, vice the easily available ABS plastic one. Well fellow honda-techers, below are a few comparision pics I decided to take of the two. Hope this sheds some light on fitiment questions you guys might have. Sorry for the dirty pics. In addition, anyone wanna buy the ABS one off me??!?! Enjoy!!!
left top view, side by side. ABS left, OEM right pretty similar, but the ABS one is definitly thinner
right bottom view, side by side, ABS left, OEM right ABS one has longer lip to cup behind the front bumper (holes need to be drilled). OEM one has a shorter lip to cup behind the rear bumper, but has two holes that fit the OEM holes already there.
NOW FOR THE FITMENT
front driver side ABS lip minor fitment issues
front driver side OEM lip what can I say, OEM rocks
front passenger side ABS lip minor fitment issues
front passenger side OEM lip do I have to say it again?
passenger side ABS not too bad
passenger side OEM pretty good
undercarridge reinforcement ABS lip where???
undercarridge reinforcement OEM lip for those who wanna keep their lips

yeah i'd rather save up an extra $80 for an OEM on vs. a ABS one. abs one'll crack or scratch and you'll eventually have to fix it or buy a new one. at least the OEM one bends and flexes. i heard that you can get the OEM in Canada still thru the dealership... is that true?

maybe they were quoting a front bumper... that sounds too crazy and i don't think they distribute the kits anymore.
