Default 98-01 frontend conversion?

My friend and I were thinking of doing a 98-01 front conversion. Do you only have to replace the bumper and the lights or is there more to it?

Thats basically it just the skin and the lamp units. The rear is exactly the same just taillight units and skin.

he means that what you see is not the bumper. it's the bumper cover you need to change and the headlights for the both frong and rear to finish the 98+ look.

Wait what bumpr cover. We've taken the bumper off before. It's pretty much bumper or nothing.

you also need the bumper lenses(turn signals)

and for the rear bumper you dont have to change the tailights in order to change the bumper, but on the front the headlights are different sizes so you do have to change them

The urthane cover you take off (which you call a bumper) is not a 5mph crash bumper, it does NO good in an accident. That little crap piece of metal behind there is actually your bumper. Either way, turn signals, fender linears and turn signal brackets are different.

If you want it to look right I suggest u get fender liners. Fender liners are the black thing that lines ur fender..

i just picked up a 95 SE and am thinking of doing the 98+ conversion. and rather than create a new thread, im bumping this one.

so all i need is the bumper cover (not the support), the headlights, & bumperlights? i read somewhere i need different brackets for the bumperlights since they are differnet from the 2 styles, is this right?

I answered this like 4 posts up. The turn signal brackets and the fender linears are different, along with the headlights, turn signals and actual bumper cover. Also, as I recall the little PINs in the emblem didnt line up quite right and I had to chop one of them off (though the hole was still covered).
