You should see the liberal application of salt and sand to the roads here in Upstate NY. Not only does it completely f*ck our cars metal/paint over all winter long but they put so much of it on the goddamn roads that it just hangs out on on dry pavement for 3 months after the snows gone and causes accidents due to people hitting patches of it and spinning off the road. My buddy off'ed his bike into a tree at about 40 mph last May due to this. Luckily he walked away from it, however his gixxer wasn't as fortunate. (end rant)

That aside, I'm really digging the painted black everything under the hood for some reason. Nice investment of $1500, I was looking to do something similar but got fed up the terrible condition of everything going for less than 2 grand around here. Good luck with the rest of it man.

Yeah, no kidding about that salt. I'm in upstate NY too and I've done some accidental slides on salt before. Blew two tires off the rims doing that once because I slid into a curb. My family bought Pontiac Trans-sport, one of the mid gen fiberglass bodied ones. Since it was fiberglass, the body never rusted but by the time we got rid of it, the undercarriage and frame was completely destroyed.

As to OP: really cool build! I almost snapped up a deal on most of a 2001 civic interior in tan for 25$ (included front and rear seat, rear parcel shelf and door panels.) but I wasn't sure if it would fit my car (1998 LX). And there are few things as satisfying as seeing all those shiney bolts in the engine bay. Word of advice- Turtle wax can help you keep those bolts shiny.

So not much of an update but got some of the new bolts on. Transmission studs and nuts so the mount is on and good to go. The rest of the transmission bolts. The starter on.

Had order alternator from checker. Also upper gasket kit will be in later today. Ill putted that on with the manifolds and everything.

Went picked up the gasket kit. Put the gaskets on just after taking old ones off. Note to self: getting old gaskets off is a B thank god we found the air grinder with a brillo wheel!

More parts:
Heater Hoses
Injector Seal Kits
Thermostats

Things left to get:
Axles
Halfshaft
Radiator hoses

After all that should be good to just plug and play.
