both you put your dicks away the pissing contest is over. I got a full set of leather interior for TEN Dollars do you know how much a full set of leathers black costs? I know ppl that have used proper paint on leathers and never had any problem they had to get the leather a color in the beginning, it doesnt come off cows a certain color. The entire interior will be black and the whole car will cost about 1,500. Correct me if im wrong but i dont know anyone who has a clean running DD for 1,500 thats in the condition mine will be in.

Honestly not just backing my bro because he is my brother but because i guarantee he knows more than 75% of the people on here. We also both own 5 hondas between us. And my brother has one of the most meticulous builds on HT. He is a dick yes i will admit that and others will prob say the same. But this isnt drama tech its honda-tech.

As far as you're opinions you are entitled to them yes but keep you're negativity out. I dont care if you think tan and silver is the most hideous combination ever, its what was available to me with the funds I have.

I appreciate all positive and constructive feedback.

innovative auto to manual mount conversion kit, has the softest poly available. lol. the rear mount is OEM still, might fill it with some silicone or something to stiffen it up a little. plus the car is totally a daily but its gotta have some go, i am really interested to see what the b16 trans on the b18b1 will feel like. lol i have heard its fun, for it being an ls and all.

Dont feed the trolls man... Just let em go :]

I'm almost digging the intake being painted. I've thought about doing that on my car but never have. Curious to see what it looks like going in.

And, FWIW, I think $10.00 leather interior is awesome

For that guy that didnt like matching interior, i thought i would do this for you. lmao( and if people would learn to paint and prep there stuff right, paint wont chip and stuff)

process, plastic pieces such as the center console

step1: sprayed with brake cleaner to remove dirt and gunk in those hard to reach places(let dry/ wipe down for faster dry time)

step2: scotch bright the whole part that will receive paint.

Step3: Wipe down with paint prep cleaner, much like acetone, but its just called cleaner(its self drying, like brake cleaner)

Step 4: Spray DUPLICOLOR vynl and interior paint (flat black, oem finish IMO), light first coat 6-8 inches away, let stand for 3-5 min, apply 1-2 more even coats that are a little more heavy, let stand at least 3-5 minutes in between coats

The results
before

after

Also since the paint worked so well on the center console piece i decided to try it on the leather seats that my brother paid 10$ for, because if it messed them up i wouldnt feel so bad as compared to a more expensive set.

Leather process

step 1: wipe down with cleaner stated above

Step2: repeat spray instructions like above for plastic(same flat black Duplicolor paint was used)

before
after(just the tops are done for now, became tired, will finish up the bottoms tomorrow)

we shall see how it holds up, but i have talked to alot of guys on here that used the duplicolor vynil paint and said when prepped right it holds up great.

guess we shall see,to me it seemed more of a dye like substance than a paint. to the touch anyway.

Wow, those came out really well. I've always heard about dying interior pieces but never had the need too. Beats paying crazy amounts for the other shade eh?

Mostly Bro, and I got the manual pedal assembly in last night. Nothing like working out in the dark with just the LED lights lol

Also got the rest of the rear leathers dyed black, and some more interior pieces. Started on the front leathers. Almost finished with the black interior swao

Haha, I bought a 2000 gsr from Chicago, low mileage but not as clean as I hoped. Currently swapping all suspension components due to rust and repainting under body. Alot of work is required just to make it rust free, I hate salt.

kids steals all the credit for my work, I swapped the pedals and the clutch, and tore the auto stuff out.

i feel you dude, i looked near the rear trailing arm adjustment point yesterday and it looks pretty rusted, hopefully its just surface, and not all the way through. so we can clean it up and spray undercoating on it. All the fron suspension is hidious, and thats on the list of things to do also. take them off through them in the bead blaster, and prolly truck bed line them.
