96 LS Died while on Interstate???
Ok, I have a 96LS with a JDM B18B. I was drivin about 65mph because it was rainin. I have an SRI but im pretty sure I didnt suck any water up. I pulled the cover off of the dizzy and the cap looked fine. It didnt look like it had any spark when I pulled the wires off. The motor turns over like normal and sounds normal but its just not startin up.
When the car died, the battery light didnt come on. The radio and everything was still on and working fine. I down shifted thinking it would start it back up but didnt. The engine didnt just shut off instantly either. The RPMs just declined as if I let off the gas. I didnt sputter or anything.
Anybody have any ideas? Sorry if I left anything out. Thanks in advance for any help!

Not really 100% sure but I dont think so. Anybody have scamatics on a Main Relay? Honda Machanic told me to check the ?continuity? of the relay to see if it was working.
If you haven't found it yet, its underneath your steering column right above the hood release latch, its bolted down by a 10mm bolt its grey on the out side and brown on the inside. Just unplug it and check the solders on the thing, if there are cracks on any of the solder, re-solder it, or just buy a used one from the junkyard.
Yeah, I found it. Thanks though. There isnt a junk yard for hours of me that has an Integra.
But anyway, you say the soulders will be cracked if its bad?

it depends, i have a 94 ls and it was having starting problems and it would die on occasions and i finally pulled the main relay to check it out but there were no cracks. but the best way to tell is to actually hold the relay in your hand while its plugged in and you should feel it clicking on and off when you turn the car on, if you dont feel anything, its dead. And you can use pretty much any fuel relay off any honda acura, they are the same.
Well, I ordered a new one from Honda a few minutes ago. It was $65 for it and to get it overnighted. I got a pretty good discount through my work, about $30 total.
I`ll change that out tomorrow and let you guys know what happens! Thanks again to everybody!

main main relay should "click" three times before starting the car. turn your key to the on postion but dont crank the engine, see if you hear your fuel pump prime.
LS, you never said if it was working or not, you just said you bought one. why would you buy a new one if you dont know what the problem is? if it is the relay, and you HAVE checked it and its not clicking could you please inform us, because im finding it a little bit strange that you would pay 65 bucks for something you dont need
92 blue gsr if you would read what was said you would see he got a good deal threw his work and only paid 30 for it also i am sure that if he is replaceing it that it is safe to assume it is not working the way it should

Well guys, it wasnt the Main Relay. I got the part this morning and replaced it. It didnt change anything.
The people at Acura were kind enough to take the part back and charge me a 25% restocking fee. Better than not getting any at money back at all.
Im about to take out my ECU and check for anything that looks electicly burnt. This is turning into Hell!
I wanna thank everybody for thier input! Furnther advice would still be great as I dive into the pits of Hell also known as my floor board!
Sorry for not saying that it wasnt working earlier. It never clicked and fuel pump never primed.

Its ALIVE!!!!!!! I got to thinking and I remembered seeing some guys on here talking about a fuse under the dash would cause the car not to crank.
Well, I got under there and started pullin fuses and found that a 15A fuse in the (ACG(IG)) spot was blown.
I replaced the fuse with one of my spares and all of the sudden heard my Main Relay click and my fuel pump prime and the ABS buzz.
After holding the ignition for a about 15 seconds it started and is runnin like a champ!
Ok.... WTF?!?! A 15A fuse did all that and put me through all of that!? Oh well, I learned a few things and hopefully some other people did too.
Thanks again everybody! Even though it was just a fuse, I dont think I would have thought of it had you guys not gotten me in the mindset!
