Default 96 limited edition brakes and sway bar HELP!

ok I went to change my rear brakes earlier this week. I got new rotors from autozone and some decent pads. I went to put the pads on and they fit in but are to wide and stick past the rotor. The pads I got are just a bit wider than the stock ones. so I went to autozone to swap them out. figured they gave me the wrong ones..... nope they were right. he pulled out like 4 more sets. only one was the correct size (of course the CHEAPEST ONES THEY HAD!) Valuecraft 10.00 specials.... ewwey...

So my question is what kind of brakes do I need to get. I dont really want these cheap *** brakes.

Also do I have the same brakes and swaybars as a GSR?

All USDM 3rd gen Integras have the same size brakes except for the ITR.

2dr GSR front sway bar is 24mm and rear sway bar is 14mm.
2dr LS/GS/RS/SE rear sway bar is 13mm. I can't remember what size the front sway bar is but I believe it's 22mm?

They prob didnt fit bc they are cheap *** pads. To save money the manufacturer will try to use the same size pad to fit as many cars as possible. Sometimes it may be a little too big or too small but is close enough.

I had the same problem with a cheap set of Autozone pads on a friends Integra, I had to file them down to fit.

theres a piston inside the rear brakes, smaller than the front but serves the same purpose. It is engraved with a plus sign (+) so it can be turned with a flat head screw driver. Did you turn this all the way in, if you didnt then that might be why the pads dont fit. It takes some pressure while turning to get it to go in. Try that first.

Thats what I was thinking. You can also use a large C-clamp and your old pad to push in the piston. It quite common for people not to push in the piston all the way and in result the pads seem as if they are to wide. I hope that works for you.

I really doubt it but is it possible you have the wrong rotors, ones that are wider? I don't think that would be it but I'm trying to think of every possible option for you. Good luck.

NONONO! dont try to use a c clamp to do it, it only works that way on the front caliper if you try that on the back you will, will, will F-up the rear calipers. use the screwdriver and screw it back in.

plus they cheap *** pads are the only ones that would fit!

ok basically here is what happened. I had cheap *** pads on there.. I kept forgetting to order new pads like the green stuff or hawks.. anyway I started to grind the rotor on one side. so I was like **** guess I have to go get some to tide me over.

I wasnt expecting to get 10 dollar tide me over pads, but now I am a bit wary of ordering some nice pads because out of 5 sets from autozone only the CHEAPEST were the right size.
