Jumped timing? Bad distributor, ECU programing messed up?

Try resetting your ECU, pull the 7.5amp fuse under the hood, it's labeled Back Up

Check to see if your timing is right, if that doesn't work then try to swap out the distributor.

I don't think that would be the main problem, If your injectors were dirty then it would run really lean when getting into the higher rpm's if that was the problem causing not to go any higher and probably throw a code. Is it's throwing any codes? Happen to have a friend that would let you swap the distributor just to see if thats the problem.

Pull the plug wires "one by one" so you don't mess up the order and look down the hole to see if there's oil on top of your plugs. And also, when was the last time you did a (FULL) tune up?
