92 GS Backfire
Ok,
This is getting a little out of hand. The backfire started sometime after I installed a DC Sports Max Air intake. Only intemittent, only in between shifts. It wasn't that loud b4, but now with the new exhaust setup (DC Stainless, Free Cat) the backfire sounds like a gunshot. At first it startled me, but now it's just annoying. Not a way to impress the ladies. Any tips?

do you have a cat-converter and resonator installed? do you have a fuel pressure regulator? are your plugs and wires fairly new and in good working condition? is your ignition timing set correctly?
check these things first then see if the back firing still orrurs.
