Default 91 Integra Ignition problems

I just got this integra that didnt run right. If i stompped to wot the engine would bogg out so I had to ease in to it on the way home. I checked the timming It was off (retarded about five degrees from the correct setting) so i set it correctly then drove around the block I tried to flore it but it bogged out and died. White smoke came out the intake

I got it back around the corner but it wouldnt start. I fooled around with the timing a bunch and got it to start for 30 seconds or so (white smoke came out the muffler at first then stopped) But it died again. Will not start now. I pulled a plug and am getting no spark. I replaced the control module but still no spark, could this be anything else besides the coil.

Thanks I am new to hondas

I would replace the coil even if that wasn't the problem, you don't know anything about this car. Check it to see if its throwing spark. Take it to a shop and have it tested. Change the cap, rotor, wires, and plugs while you are at it.

All of the wires are new, cap and rotor arnt worn to mutch, should work. I guess ill change the coil.

is there anything else that might do this? Or does anyone know about the bogging out or white smoke?

Thanks

Condensation in the gas? Blown head gasket? If there is no spark then make sure your ICM is shooting a signal to the coil. If you know how to work on cars in then it shouldn't be too hard to diagnos the spark problem. All engines work the same. Thats of course unless you are used to working with points ignitions and carburetors.

Just replaced the Ignition control module. Did a comp test and all was around 180.
I AM used to working on american carburated older engines so this is a little different, but still simple enough.

So if i replace the coil and still no spark is there any wiring, fuses or other things not in the imedeate area of the distributor that would cause this?

Maybe u got oil in the distributor. the seal where the distributor is usually leaks on most integras. I had to change my assembly at about 155K, I noticed after I put in the new distributor that my cars tends to misfire at lower rpms going up hills. I'm gettin my MSD on Monday, hope that fixes the problem. Good luck
