91 Integra
Whats up HT! I'm currently lookin for a good daily driver and just looked at a 91 Integra.. Owner tells me that he just bought a new alternator, checked under the oil cap and head has a nice golden color to it.. doesn't burn oil, nice drive but a little shake in the steering wheel at around 60-70 mph or so (due to alignment usually?) There are some cracks in the body kit but otherwise the paint job looks good. Interior looks decent, has 2 holes in the driver side door panel where it appears a tweeter used to be. Stock shocks/struts but aftermarket coils, good lookin rims, disc brakes feel smooth. AC is nice and cold since its HOT as hell in FL now. He tells me that the engine was swapped with a B18B with around 160k miles but I forgot to check for the engine code when I saw it.. I'm supposed to give him a call tomorrow and let him know what I think. He was asking 2200 but he went down to 1900.. Sound like a good deal? Engine runs strong and he swears up and down that he's had no problems with it for the 5 months he's driven it except for the alternator.. It's unknown when the timing belt was changed. From what I've researched I shouldn't pay more than 1500? Let me know what ya'll think, thanks
hey whats up bro? i'm new to the forum but i wanted to hit you back about that DA. it sounds like a descent deal but deff. don't pay more than 1500. if you have to replace the timing belt it is a deff. bitch to do. and did you drive it at all, or go by what he was telling you? the dizzy on those things go all the time.. something about the bearings wearing i believe. its a safe bet you will have to replace that soon as well... keeping this all in mind, good luck on your purchase bro. i love my teggy more than my girl.. lol peace
Thanks for the response
Yeah I drove it, and it seems to drive really well, I mean better than my old civic. I got him to go down to 1700, i dunno but it seems like he wants to sell it fast.. he had told me that he's moving and doesn't need 2 cars (has a civic hatch) but you know how stories go. I don't mind repairs, I love to get my hands dirty but at the same time I dont wanna end up spending more than I needed to if I had just bought a great runnin car. Hopefully if I go with it I'm not gettin ripped.

the point i am trying to make is kinda like this... you can find a 2nd gen. teggy for 5bucks and 2 proofs of purchase from general mills lucky charms.. they are everywhere, and they sell for mad cheap. 1500 is good for a clean integra but i wouldnt go much higher at all in price if you want bang for buck.
