im guessing youre trying to make the 'high beams' your regular headlights (with the 9005's in the projectors?? hmm.....)..
.. because i would think you would lose brightness if you replaced the 9005 with a 9006 if you are keeping the high beams where they're at..

ur kinda right. i have DRLS (high beams are on when ignition is turned on) but the bad part about it is that the high beams are at about 80% power output, i want to try and put in a 9006 and see if it will be dimmer

i see now.. i forgot about DRLs!
im not too positive, but i think its just a matter of trimming off parts of the 'tabs' on the base of the 9006 bulbs.
good luck!

9006's won't be that much dimmer, just go to radio shack and buy the electrical stuff that will make it dimmer. Not sure what they are called, resistors? or something like that

the thing with resistors is that you cannot put a cover over it becuase it gets too hot. i dont wait to have a piece of metal being free to touch.
