Default 9005 Conversion, pics inside.

Well I did a 9005 conversion with Sylvania Silverstars. Those are NICE bulbs! I certainly didn't expect such an increase in light output, but was pleasantly surprised. Even in dusk conditions, I light up the road like daytime

Anyway, here are the before and afters. The first shot is with my previous bulbs, 9006 Eurolites, which are a hyper white bulb, and are a lot nicer than halogen. But not as nice as the Silverstars

As you can see, quite a bit brighter But to appreciate it, you need to see them on the road.... wow.

I'll be putting a page up for the conversion on my web site soon. It's real easy, took me about 15 minutes Just have to chip away at the plastic plug on the light bulb

I HIGHLY reccomend the CATZ bulbs for this conversion. I have had about ten people now ask me if I have true HID conversion cause the bubls do do that weird color change look like Audis. Anyways. I love mine. Very bright.

I am not sure the brand of side marker bulb, but I am using a hyper white bulb inside the side marker. My marker lenses are also bluish, but at night when the lights are on, the light shows up very bright and rather clear like my corner lights. I like them a lot, I'll try to find out what brand they are.

No idea, we don't have a Pep Boys here I called Sylvania and asked them who in my area sold them. Turns out a truck parts dealer here had access to them. He never brought any in before, so it took some time

xrtdac - I'd rather have the bright WHITE light rather than the color change blue light

the "wierd color change" comes from the optics of the housing, not from the bulb itself.

see my sig for how to do the 9005 conversion.
