90-93 Integra axle question (searched)
Okay first off,I already searched,so if you have a smartass answer or wanna flame me,please refrain from doing so please.Just replaced the passenger side front axle on my 91 Teg a couple months ago (Cardone part # 60-4032) and decided to do the drivers side the other day so went to O'reilys and got the left (drivers side) axle which should be Cardone part # 60-4034,however when I got home I noticed the box has 60-4032,which is the right side axle So,do I need to return it or are the left and right identical?I cant tell any difference by looking at them but who wants to have their daily driver down cause some noob looked up the wrong number! Thanks in advance!

They are different. The passenger side axle will have the entire shaft splined that fits into the intermediate shaft. The drivers side shaft is only partially splined (about half-way) on the end that fits into the transaxle. They are also different shaft lengths, so if you use the wrong one the axle clip will not seat correctly.

Thanks! The axle I got is splined 1 1/4 inches where it goes into the tranny,so maybe it is the right one,I dont see any part #'s on the axle itself though.

Careful. I don't remember how long the splines are on my axles. I do know that the drivers side axle (the one into the intermediate shaft) is quite obviously splined the entire length. If its not obvious, its probably the passenger side. I will try and post a picture later tonight.

Nope, thats the passenger side that goes directly into the transaxle. Good pic, I didn't realize to post an image I needed to host in somewhere, which I don't have. Your application is the same as mine as well (I have a 90 LS).
