I had one of those, but I personally see no reason to build one of those. The suspension setup is really bad. Especially in the snowy states (rust).

i have a d16a1 not a3..this is just a fun project car different from people were im at but i need some ideas...lol

What are you looking to set up? I'm doing an autocross car out of a '89 teg right now but I'm assuming you don't want to go crazy like I am (strip the interior and such). If you are just looking for a coulpe extra horses you could give the car a little more kick with a cold air intake and maybe a little exhaust work. But, you should make sure the engine is running ok before you put too much money into a car that old... Where are you located?
