'87 Integra Fuel Problem
I picked up an '87 Integra today for $200. I'm going to make it a beater off road rally car. I've done this for many years with many different cars, such as Toyota Corollas, Hyundai Accents, etc. This is my first Acura/Honda.
The car is in decent shape, has some minor body damage (it's gonna get a LOT more :D ) and has 200,000 miles on the odometer.
When I got it home, I put a new battery in it, and tried to fire it up. It doesn't start. It's getting spark. I cracked the little bleeder bolt on top of the fuel filter, and turned the car over. No gas came shooting out, as I am assuming it should. So I am guessing this would mean the fuel pump is either bad, or the fuel pump is not getting any power.
1) Where is the fuel pump relay/fuse
2) where is the fuel pump
I am thinking the fuel pump is most likely in the tank. If this is the case, how much of a pain in the **** is it to yank? Can I just splice an inline/external pump in the fuel line and call it good?
TIA,
Lance
