Default 5 lug conversion issue

I'm doing a five lug conversion with parts off of a Civic Type R so I can use my same 32 mm axles that are on the car. I noticed the knuckle doesn't have the threads on the side for the ABS line. For those of you who have done this conversion, how did you resolve this problem?

I'm thinking of taking the knuckles to a machine shop and getting them threaded with the proper thread pitch.

the flat spots on the side are what I'm referring to. My Integra has the flat spots drilled out and threaded from the factory.

maybe you got the 5 lug setup that didn't come with ABS? that's why there aren't any holes drilled there. your integra has the holes because it has ABS. taking it to a machine shop should fix the issue though. hope this helps, and good luck with the conversion. your car will look better with it.

It slipped my mind to find out if the CTR I'm getting the parts from had ABS or not. From research though, I haven't found any CTR with ABS so I'm assuming it never came with it.

I read a lot of threads about the CTR conversion on Integras before making my purchase and no one ever mentioned the ABS issue so that's why I'm a bit perplexed with my situation.

I just did my swap with a CTR 5 lug because like you I wanted to keep my 32mm axles. I made sure I picked up a set that had ABS. But I also came across a lot of 5 lugs that didn't have ABS. I reused the ABS wires that were on my car but my 5 lug came with ABS wires and even had the holes drilled. So I was able to bolt my ABS wires to the knuckles.

Interesting, it must have been a rare option.

Since you just did the swap, I've got a question for you. Did your swap come with the e-brake cables? If so, did you use them or reuse the ones already on your car?

Take your CTR parts off the knuckle and put them on the Integra knuckle. Yes, you may have to change the bearing but might as well anyway.

Otherwise, you're drilling and tapping holes.

Yes my swap came with everything including the E-brake cables. And I didn't use them because you can reuse your E-brake cables on your integra. Just take the cables apart from the rear hubs on your car, you don't have to disconnect from inside the vehicle. The only time you swap cables is when you have drums in the rear like some civics. But you have discs so you're good. Less work.
