1st gear hard to get into...
I have a 94 Gs-R and lately it's hard to go into first. Like I'll be driving to a stop sign and I'll be in 2 or 3 and I down shift to 1st, it seems to be locking and what not, do all Teg have auto-locking on 1st gear?

humm...i never go back to first untill im at a complete stop. but yeah it shouldn't let you go back to frist from any gear unless your down to speed. saves you from accidentally down shifting from 5th to 1st...

Bullshit. I downshit to first alot in my DA with a LS transmission when autocrossing on tight courses.

Pretty much should only be in first if you're going from a dead stop. If it's hard to get into first from a dead stop, you can try to clutch twice and then shift or put it into like fourth and then first

Is it random, or All the time?
try pushing it into 3rd or 4th real quick then try 1st again.

Most of the time and they seem pretty random.

Agreed. I sometimes have problems shifting into first when at a stop so I do it when slowing down.

the more concise way to put it is that you can't downshift into first easily like you would any other gear.
You'll need to double clutch and revmatch correctly for it to slip in smoothly.
but you really shouldn't ever need to downshift into first on the streets. AutoX/RR is another story.

Re: (SpoonSirG)
I too ahve trounble shiffting smoothly into first but it can be done. *** for getting into first at a dead stop its s HONDA thing. I have talked to numerous mech from honda/acura and all u have to do is hit reverse than it should slide right into first and vis versa goin into reverse
