Hey I had to change my battery in the car and now the OEM stereo wants a code I have to type in so it will work does anyone know the code? Its a 1998 gsr the stereo just says acura on it
I had to take the deck out and get the serial code on it and went down to Acura, they wanted registration to see i have ownership over the car, they looked it up on their computers and gave me the code for free... Not sure why its not workng for u.

yeah they do actually hide the code somewhere in or around the car,
My friend found his code on a panel in his Trunk, He owns an Acura Legend but i think the hidden code applys to most acuras.
Try lookin under the fuse box, in the glove box, around the glove box (hinges), in the trunk , on the door, any possible hiding place.

its not going to be posted anywhere around your car. You need to take the radio out of the dash and get the serial number off the top and go to an acura dealer. Dont go to a honda dealer they wont be able to help you I work at a honda dealer in florida and we get it all the time the vin databases are different just go to acura with the number and proof of ownership and you will be all set!
^ actually it would be on your car, if the person who originally owned the car put the radio sticker on the car. or if you were lucky they would have put it in the manual. you'll usually fined them in the glove box, but like i said, if the original owner didn't put the sticker for the radio code in the the car, then you have to go to the dealer to get the code.
Or you could go to https://radio-navicode.honda.com/ and put in your VIN # and get the code for free.. at home.
