Default 1995 Acura Integra Special Edition intermediate axle replacement

Is it common to have the half axle connection to be stuck and not able to seperate the both of them?

pull the whole thing out then you can really wack it with a bfh.
the stealerships wants $300-400 for a new halfshaft.
went with the yonaka for $80 instead. seems to be ok
but their catbacks sound sketchy

The intermediate axle should have (I believe) 3 bolts mounting it to the back of the block. The half shafts should come out with a good pry bar, sometimes it might help to rotate it and try a couple times.
