Default 02 Sensor check engine light problems!!!

ok so last niight i swapped my Greddy SP exhuast for a stock exhaust. i knew i was gonna have an issue when i saw the donor car was a 95 and mine is a 01. put i pressed on anyway. so while removing the exhaust systems we were having issues removing the bolts that go from the exhaust to the cat (on both cars). next best thing was to unbolt them from the ex. manifold. here's the issue my car has 2 02 sensors and he only had one. i ended up just cutting the wires due to the amount of time we were messing with trying to take the 02 sensor off. now i knew i was gonna have a check engine light. but my questions are: how bad is it for my engine and what are my options to get rid of the check engine light? any help would be most appreciated.

uh you could probably run rich or lean, get worse gas mileage and why would you trade a SP for a stock? only way you can get rid of the CEL is either wire it back up and wrap aluminum foil around it so the CEL goes away"trust me i've seen it" LOL or get a chipable ecu and cross out the 02 sensor

well i swapped the exhaust because i'm making my car stock again. i didn't like the rumbling sound anymore. anyway i was thinking about the ecu thing. i wonder if i can use an OBD1 ecu to fix problem. i'm gonna try the foil wrap thing for sure. i guess that means i need to buy an O2 sensor.

well if you go with the obd1 ecu you will need a jumper harness and yes that should eliminate your CEL because odd1 only has one 02 sensor. you should of looked for at least a 98 exhaust
