You could put a quick disconnect on your battery and disconnect any time the car sits for a while. I had a similar problem with my battery draining.
Its ghetto but it will get you through until you straighten out your short

na it dont drain while it runs.... if i drive it everyday it works perfect but if i skip a day the battery drains
any ideas on a battery better than duralast haha?
and my solution is go to the junk yard and get the harness thats chopped off another crx thats clean

Yeah it won't matter how good a battery u have if there's a short. It will still drain out. I'm telling u quick disconnect on ur battery lol. At least till u find ur short. It works so good, it's been a temporary permanent fix for me for a while now.
I had nothing but problems with Optima in a healthy car.
I have an '88 Prelude with a similar issue, but it's gotten so bad that the lights will flash on and off, sort of pulsate, when the car is running. Everything power operated pulses at the same beat (climate control, throttle response, lights, power windows).
If I leave the car sitting a couple days with the battery connected, it will drain the battery.
I know my car has a bad voltage regulator. This is number 3 or 4 now (same number for batteries btw). I just haven't found the ground issue (which is what I was told it likely is) that is causing the car to eat voltage regulators and batteries.

I JUST FIXED MY REX I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM . TAKE THE DOOR PANELS OFF AND DISCONNECT THE SEAT BELT RETRACTORS . MY PASS SIDE WAS STAYING ENGAGED CAUSING THE BATTERY TO DIE IF THE CAR STOOD FOR MORE THAN A DAY
I was about to say it is the door switch that is usually the culprit.
Over time they rust out and no longer work.
Order new ones or use steel wool to clean up and coat with contact cleaner.
