The value of Jellybean skyrocketed this afternoon as I realized that my AC IS WORKING!!

Cliffs
- Bought car, AC didnt' work. Charged system, still didn't work.
- Flushed system, replaced orifice tube/drier
- Recharged system, freon blowing out of the pressure release valve on the compressor.
- Decided to leave it alone.
- Accidentally pressed AC button sometime this morning (turning up the heat when it was cold I guess). Noticed car surging somewhat while I was driving, an extra squeak in the engine bay and my leg getting cold.
- Freaked out when I realized the AC worked!

S0, I am VERY, VERY happy. This just gives me all sorts of motivation to get the body work done.

That's awesome man... too bad it was right after summer, but then there's next year. Although I'm still using mine daily in "SoFla."

I would like to add that when we were testing it, when the compressor would kick on (at idle) the RPM would drop to like 500 and almost shut off. Thats another reason why I have never bothered with it.

Though I have thought aboutturning it on many times... Just never did. Yay for me!

Also, since I got off work early today, I finished tinitng the windows in Jelly. 5% limo. Looks good from about 10 feet away but damn when you get close. I can't tint windows worth a flip. Cut too short, dirt behind the tint, a wrinkle or 2.. But it still looks better than nothing!

I just did the tint in my fronts again...and I was doing more work to the window channel seals and a couple adjustments so I took my windows completely off...and did the tint like that...wrinkle free...and it was easier to contain dust indoors and stuff...it was more work than keeping them on though in all honesty...

5%? Dark dark...too many FHPmen rolling around here with tint meters and my car is black on black so it'd be hard to avoid getting attention on it.

What part of Fl are you in?

South of Tallahassee, bout 45 mins. And yeah, it's dark but I doubt I'll ever get pulled. There is a guy in town that does tint and he pulls the windows out. Does an awesome, awesome job.

This tint won't be on forever: I'll get good tint on once she's repainted.

Understood...it's a good mod to do for a couple of dollars...especially living in FL.

So your car went from no AC and clear windows...hot as *****...to working AC and 5% tint....lol. No more sweating ftw.

Ha, sorta. I have had my passenger side window tinted for a while now. I messed up one time and didn't have enough to finish the driver side. I'm really diggin having tint on every window: I forgot how nice it is to be in t3h dark.

So now I just need to:
- Fix dents
- New driver fender
- New hood
- New muffler

Muffler will be stock, no fart cannons for me. BTW, if you have a stock muffler, I will be happy to accept a donation! :D

Christmas is October!

And these are the smallest brake pads I have ever seen! Look like toys.

Installed the speakers right after I got them. Sound soooooooooooooooo much better than the other ones I had (Koles I think they were). Now I just need my tweeters and sub and I'll be set

A/c is awesome. I still remember how happy i was when i discovered how simple it would be to retain a/c in an h2b setup. Little parts matching and the factory system works. Us south-easterners really appreciate a/c.

Lived in Phoenix for about a year and the dry heat makes a/c a fair bit less necessary. (obviously with the 115 summer temps being an exception) Plenty of days riding with the windows down.

Well I did some more work on Jellybean today. Today I worked on the inside. I washed and scrubbed the dash and door panels, cleaned up the seats and vacuumed the carpet along with armor-alling everything. I also cleaned out my arm rest and coin tray AND I fixed my cig lighter... which was not working.

It works now

My tweeters should be here any day and my subwoofer will hopefully be here tomorrow or Saturday. We'll see.

Had the top off of her again and was rollin around in my town. Crazy the looks I get in it. I wish people paid that much attention to my Integra :S

If you're going to be running a sub...I see you already have the pioneers...but check out the 5 1/4 mb quart components...MUCH clearer if you're running a sub especially in a small car like the sol.

They're not expensive at all either

http://www.google.com/products/catal...CAcQ8wIwADgA#p

They run around 60-100 dollars for the 5 1/4s..comes with the tweeters and crossovers.

If you're already digging around installing sub-wiring and whatnot...and your panels are off...stop using your OEM speaker wire and put some decent speaker wire going straight from your head unit to your speakers...another couple dollar mod that will make the world of difference in sound clarity.

Heyyyy! A Tallahassee boy! I'm about 45 mins from you What color is yours? I thinktheres 4 or 5 in Tally. One is really nice.. Lowered, lip kit, 17" wheels. A real pretty blue with some white graphics on the side.

And Jelly has a long way to go But next year she will be lookin good. I basically just need to gather up my tools and get that panel done in a weekend. But I don't want to just do the panel and have it primered, I wanna get another hood and fender and do it all at the same time.

Maybe even get my dad to help me so I can get it done within a weekend or two. We'll see.
-----------------------------

OHOHOHOHOHOHOH.. I almost forgot! This is very, very awesome.... Anybody ever heard of the show Pass Time? It comes on speedvision, from the same people who do Pinks.

Well my Dad and I like watching it and have talked about getting my truck on the show but no shows are ever recorded close enough to us. Well thats changed!

Next week, Monday-Wed they are recording 10 shows. I emailed the show, told them what I had (9 second Ford Ranger) and dude called me like 30 mins later and told me to show up by 3:00 on Tuesday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, HOPEFULLY my truck will be on TV!!!

I have not mentioned it in this thread, but I have a lil Ford Ranger, 1987, with a V8 and nitrous. Here's a video I put together.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGKmev-vnz0

Pretty cool lil ride. Street truck too. Makes you forget all about a Honda, as it can spin the tires in any gear, any RPM on the street

Here's a nice lil burnout video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvfYhrlEe1c

Built by Dad and I (though mostly him). He's an amazing mechanic and tuner. We built the engine from scratch, specifically for nitrous. We've sprayed 200 hp on it on our 9 second run.

Updates on that next week. We are super, uber excited!!!

AHHH!!! I realized that I won't be here to put my sub in Jellybean... It gets here today hopefully along with my tweeters. I have to go out of town and pick up the truck/trailer that will carry my truck to Pass Time!

Woo hooo!!! I can't wait. This is going to be so cool.

Good news! My sub and tweeters did come in.

Better news: I installed the sub and toyed with the tweeters. They are rather loud

Best news: The truck/trailer is in my yard. My dad is picking it up in the morning and will load my Ranger on it to take to Pass Time!! I'm going to take sooooooooooooooooooooo many pictures. I just hope they let us run. We'll see.

Alas, with good news comes bad... I got a very bad migraine right before I got off work, which made it rather painful to listen to music. But, I suffered through it and got my system somewhat tuned so yay for me.

Pics and updates tomorrow or actually, probably Wednesday because imagine tomorrow is going to be a very long day.
