Whoa! Life has been so crazy guys. Sorry I haven't updated. However, its a bittersweet update.

Jelly has been sold. $2100! Not to bad, eh? It was hard, but my goals and life has changed/is changing drastically. More on that in a bit. But first, what does she look like now? How about before and afters. The pics that I took when I first got her!

Do you guys remember what that bad panel looked like????

After (a hundred or so hours...)

Yeah, she looks much betterrer now!

:S

So guys, thats the end of her. I feel like I saved a del Sol from the junk yard. She was in bad shape when I got her and was in great shape when she left me. I could have done better, yes, but we all can right?

Anyway, basically my life is all upside down and whatnot (in a good way!). My wife and I have moved, currently trying to sell our house, eliminate all debt and leave the country to do missionary work in some crazy third world place where we can live off $600 a month or less. Gonna lve a simple, fun life trying to help the deaf. Were super excited but its all pretty stressful. In the end, it'll be worth it. We will be going to Nicaragua for 2 months in September :3 Scary scary but so exciting!

Its been a fun ride guys. I've always enjoyed the H-T community. I hope this thread has inspired some to work on their car, to make it better than what it is. And hopefully, it can do that in the future. Take care H-T

Enj0y!

Mac

This is a nice story. Did you turn a profit, break even or what was your loss?

Holy ****......damn good work. Sad to hear you sold it. Why not keep the home and rent it out to help offset costs in the third world. Have a property management group handle the property or a family member.

If the bank won't let us short sale, mthats what we will have to do. We just don't want the debt hanging over our heads. Just another worry ya know? With no house, we can focus our attention elsewhere

Think I ended up making about $500 or so? Over the course of years, it's hard to keep track of everything. I definetly did NOT lose money on her. I just hope she does a good job for her new owner unless she gets wrecked, Jelly will live on!

The housing market isn't always so hot. But renting is always good. I hope things work out and please don't hesitate to visit and post some crazy **** in the non technical forum. Good luck and be safe.

Damn I'm sad about Jelly. I'd have bought her lol. Followed this thread so damn long.

Thanks for all the details in your threads and bringing us some entertainment man. Hopefully some time in the future we get to follow another of your endeavors.

Do you have a Blog or newsletter? I'd love to keep updated. I did YWAM last year, probably going into full time missions after I get my masters from Denver Seminary.

Not that anybody cares anymore, but Jelly is still doing fine! Her new owner tinted the windows, put the OEM springs back on her (sitting like a 4x4 now) and got an alignment/new tires.

Last time I saw her, she was parked waaaaaayyyyy out in the parking lot, away from all other cars. So dude is actually taking good care of ole Jelly Figured I'd just give a quick update. I kinda miss Honda-tech :S I live in Nicaragua now and don't even have a car at all anymore :p Gosh, what passes for cool here concerning cars xD
