Greddy Honda meet DA vs EF Civic Integra Throwdown in California

Greddy hosts spectacular EF vs DA meet pits two iconic Honda vehicles, the Civic and the Integra, against each other in the California sun.

Perhaps one of the most overlooked generations of the Acura Integra is the DA platform. Though the DC Integra and its iconic four-headlight look (in the US, anyway) is what most are familiar with, the brick-headlight predecessor still deserves credit for being a remarkable Honda sports car. On the other side of the brand lies the EF Honda Civic. Furthermore, like the DA, it is a bit overshadowed by its newer counterparts—namely, the EG and EK platform Civics. The DA and EF share many production years. That laid perfect groundwork for Greddy to host Old Skool Honda’s EF vs DA meet in Irvine, California.

Super Street provided amazing coverage of the event. Whether you side with the Civics or the Integras, there’s something here for everyone. There’s also a handful of rare parts and rides to be seen. Let’s take a look.

Civics come out swinging.

Perhaps the most recognizable variant of the EF Honda civic is the iconic CR-X. Its compact size and affordability have made it a staple in the Honda community. There was certainly no shortage of great CR-X maples at the meet, either. Some outstanding examples include a beautiful black CR-X sporting an authentic Mugen Pro.2 body kit and a full set of Mugen MR5 wheels. This combination is as classy as it is rare.

While the CR-X is an icon on its own, the standard EF Civic can’t be ruled out.

The slightly larger EF hatchback can do it with style, too. Like the CR-X, there is no shortage of breathtaking EFs in the photos from this event. However, one that really stands out is this gorgeous hatch in a sort of Khaki tan color. While it’s hard to step it up from an immaculate example with an eye-catching color, the owner of this EF did so by setting it on a set of SSR Challenge Defi wheels. We couldn’t have picked a better combo ourselves.

Indeed, digging through this collection of photos is sure to put you in a good mood if you’re an old Honda fan. Let’s not forget the other side of this spectrum, though. After all, this is a Civic vs Integra showdown.

Integras won’t stand for intimidation.

The remarkable Integras equally matched the Civic presence in attendance. Like the Civics, they came in all sorts of colors with countless different modifications. Additionally, just like the Civics, no matter your specific taste, there’s undoubtedly a DA in this photo collection to make your day. One remarkable example of the DA Integra collection is this Aztec Green Pearl GS-R. This color is exclusive to the GS-R and commands attention from any passers-by. However, this particular one offers an extra special treat as it’s sitting on a set of two-tone Mugen RNR wheels. Again, a lovely touch for which we couldn’t offer a better recommendation.

Overall, this event brought to the table something for any EF or DA lover to enjoy. Whether you side on the Civic end of the tug-of-war rope or the Integra, you couldn’t possibly disagree in thinking this meet looks like a great time.
