Fitment Industries Shares the Best Civic Wheel Options
Civic wheel options are just as endless as that sushi buffet you know you shouldn’t go to… and just as tasty looking.
In the latest episode of What Wheels Fit, series host Alex Gelina, shares some of the best Civic wheel options out there. Each setup presented comes directly from the Fitment Industries gallery, so you know each one is tested and safe to use.
In the episode, Gelina covers the 10th-generation Honda Civic, which began with the 2015 model year and is still currently running. Overall, Fitment Industries recommends a fitment range of 16-20″ diameter, 6.5″-10.5″ width, and an offset of +15 – +50.
What Most People Are Running
Each set up listed in this category gives your Civic a nearly flush fitment and is good for daily driving. No mods are necessary. So, you can go and buy the setup you want and have no issues enjoying your purchase right away.
Up first, Fitment Industries shares this 2017 Civic running Konig Ampliform wheels. Size is 18×8.5+35 and tires are 235/40. This ride sits on BC Racing Coilovers.
“Now, like I said, no trimming or fender rolling needed,” shares Gelina “And no rubbing issues with this setup.”
Next, is another 2017 rocking Cosmis Racing XT-206Rs sized at 18×9+35. Tire size is 225/45 and this one also rides on coilovers.
Lastly, another 2017. Wheels on this bad boy are ESR SR09s sized at 18×8.5+30. The 235/40 tires ride on coilovers as well.
“So going a bit bigger with the tire and going down a bit in the offset,” says Gelina “Gets this setup a little more flush and looks really, really good.”
More Aggressive Civic Wheel Options
Moving on to the more aggressive looks, Fitment Industries has a few more to share. These looks may require some fender rolling or mods to fender liners to avoid rubbing.
Up first is a 2018 Civic wearing Konig Ampliform wheels. Sizes are 18×9.5+35 for the wheel and 235/40 on the tires. This owner elected to run with Eibach Lowering Springs.
“Not coilovers this time around,” tells Gelina “So not crazy low, but still a good amount of drop to get that fitment nice and neat.”
Next, Fitment shares a 2018 Civic with Ambit RE83 wheels. Sizes are 18×9.5+38 on the wheels with 245/40 tires. This ride also uses lowering springs rather than coilovers.
The last ride in this category is another 2018 Civic. It wears ESR SR08 wheels sized at 18×9.5+22. These wheels give the 215/35 tire a nice stretch. It rides on Godspeed Coilovers
“If you’re looking for a nearly flush, or flush fitment,” says Gelina “You’re going to find yourself with a 18×8.5 or up to a 18×9.5 with an offset landing between +35 or +38 depending on the tire size that you want to run.”
Heavy Mods Needed
This last category is for the most aggressive looks. “These setups at the very, very minimum,” starts Gelina “Are going to require fender rolling or pulling of some fenders with the possibility of additional aftermarket suspension components to get everything dialed in to fit correctly.”
The first ride we get a look at is a 2017 Civic wearing Cosmis Racing XT-006Rs. Sizes are 18×8+30 and 225/40 for the tires. The owner went with Air Lift Performance air suspension.
Gelina shares that there’s nothing too crazy wheel/tire wise here, but that the low suspension puts it firmly in this category.
The next Civic in this category is a 2017 running 18×9.5+22 Infinitewerks GTs with 225/35 tires. It rides on TruHart Air Suspension and pulls off the slammed look quite nicely.
Next up is a 2016 with Cosmis Racing XT206R wheels. Sizes are 18×9.5+10 and 215/35 for the tires. TruHart Air Suspension rounds out the setup, with minimal ground clearance of course.
“I think this set up looks really, really nice,” shares Gelina “The 206Rs in this size with that low offset really sets off the design, and they look really good on the Civics.”
Fitment’s last tasty treat for us is a 2017 Civic running 19×10+25 Rotiform RSE wheels with 215/35 tires. Air Lift Performance air suspension finishes up the look for a clean, aggressive stance.
“Going up to that 19″ in diameter and 10″ in width, this car comes together really, really nice,” claims Gelina “And shows that even 19s can be pulled off with the newest generation of Civics.”
And that wraps up the exhibit. If you didn’t like any of the setups in the video, you can always head to the Fitment Industries website to check out their Civics gallery.
