finally got the exhaust installed and hangers made. All connections are vibrant vband. Custom built stepped header with a burns stainless collector and a pci header guard, then vibrant 2.5" ss flex pipe and super quiet resonator, everything after is aluminum midway thru the mid pipe it steps up to 2.75 and steps up again to 3" at the muffler which is a 3" vibrant aluminum straight thru 9" long and we added about 4" to the end to clear the bumper. The whole aluminum section weighs just over 10lbs.

The plan is to start up the built engine tonight for the 1st time and hopefully have enought time to tune it tonight also if there isnt any gremlins to chase. Trying to get it done in for the 1st time attack of the season on sat. wish us luck

Looks really good, but damn that resonator hangs low.

Header seems to really come down too, hopefully you aren't lowered too much.

thanks fellas. I wont be too low Ill have .25" to .5" between the tires and fenders. Not worried about the resonator too much the car wont see alot of street time, the header does come does come down alil, i hope the pci guard will help protect it, but with a factory pan there was only about .25 of an inch between it and the header. I dont think it would fit on anything but a b16a. we actually had to "massage" the front corner of the canton oil pan too cause it was rubbing.

We started dyno tuning it the other day and got it up to 171whp on a mustang that reads low even for a mustang. An axle seal started leaking so we stopped. it still needs some more fine tuning so well see what it does. the build is a sleeved 84mm b16a running about 11.5:1 compression at 3500ft, pnp gsr head with supertech valvetrain and pro1's and a victor x mani. ill post a dyno sheet when we finish up.

nice, fun lil setup. You plan on drag racing the car or road racing or just a fun street car? Also are you using the b16 trans?

No offense, but that seems awfully low for a 84x87 motor with head work, pro cams, and a custom header reving out to 8500.

Or that's literally the stingiest dyno on earth.

dyno looks very strong! i like the curve. should work out well for the type of racing you do.

its a b16a so itsonly a 77mm stroke.

Ah yes, reading is fundamental, thanks.

Not bad numbers for a 77mm stroke then. Looking forward to seeing it hit 200whp.

Nice curve Although it peaks low in the rpm range for a VicX-Cams-77mm Stroke Engine.

Yes that would be great. Im thinking of changing out the cams and upgrading to an sk2 ultra manifold next offseason maybe I can break that 200whp mark.

Yeah kinda. But Pro1s are really only suppossed to build power until 9k. It really needs a bigger cam atleast 1 with a higher peak. The bottom end is built for 10k. Im thinking about some ddtech or pro3s (but I dont know if 11:1 static cr is enough for 3s). Also that victorX seems more like a turbo mani.
