Yea there both suppose to be hot. I know theres something wrong with it but i dont know what it is. If it was cold on top and hot on bottom it would mean something else. I just cant remember what it is.

Re: Top Radiator Hot Bottom cold??? (Deluzional)
it really didnt help cuhz my car overheats. and when i drive the needle shoots up and coolant shoots n steams into the refill tank. And noone has had any real explaination on why this is happening so when i got advice on if the bottom hose is cold n top is hot i wanted to find out. It would be really assuring if it came from somone who has had this problem. The problem first started when i was driving n stopped n i heard noises coming from my refill tank where steam was shooting out of it. then afterward about a week my car started overheating. Now im stuck with no car to go to work or school.

It should be said "flow from top to bottom" instead of hot/cold just like others mention (both hot).
On Corvette, it is the other way around so they can cool the head before cooling the block, but that can easily cause air bubble, so most car are flowing from top to bottom in the radiator.

Replace thermostat or just pull it out and see if your bottom hose starts to heat up, if not, then either your radiator is clogged or your water pump is shot. Also, if you are low on coolant, your thermostat might not function properly either, be sure to bleed the coolant.

sam92teg hit it pretty good....its either thermo, water pump, or clogged radiator.......start by pulling out your thermo and make sure it isnt stuck, if all well there....go after clog in radiator or water pump........also check your fan operation.

when one radiator hose is hot and the other is cold then your thermostat is stuck and it will cause overheating within 5 minutes of driving i would just replace the thermostat and call it a day
