hello everyone i m shopping for an 91 nsx 5 spd!!!! i was wondering how much is the average price for an nsx??? i saw an ad for 25999 for an 91 red nsx 5spd with 78000 miles and another red nsx auto with 55000miles for 27000.... so is that a good price for an nsx???

3. Click on "Pricing".

Once in a while you can find a car that is priced less than the market, but most of the time, when a car seems to be priced really low like the two examples you provide, there is something seriously wrong with it (salvage title, poor condition, poorly-repaired accident history, etc).

Those people must be desperate to sell or there is something wrong with them... although i could be wrong...

IT all depends upon condition. I looked at this summer a 92 with regular checkups. It had 11250 Miles yes 11 thousand. It was a friend of ours that owns the local dealership he was asking 41,000 for it. Actully a high but still pretty fair price. I think 39,000 would have been the selling price of it.

But you can pick up 91's for under 30 just watch out for the ones in the time period of the snap ring failure

Yeah its in the transmission. From what I've read, its at least $1000 to fix. But its only on certain 91-92 NSX's.

If you want to find out about the snap ring failure issue, you can look it up in the NSX FAQ under Troubleshooting - Transmission.

Cliff's Notes version:

1. It may never fail, even in a car that is in the affected range of transmission numbers.

2. There's no harm in waiting, as long as you don't keep driving on it if the failure symptoms show up.

3. The labor is in opening up the transmission, which takes 8-16 hours. If you are having transmission work done anyway, such as for gearing swaps or replacing a synchro or hub selector, then replacing the snap ring and case (which will prevent it forever) takes less than an hour extra, and you can get the parts for around ~$700.

I have a 1991 Black/cream interior NSX that I am ready to sell. It has 58400 miles on it. 5 spd with cd changer. It has 1995 wheels with good dunlop tires. I had Comptech headers, exhaust, intake and a clutch put into it. I would be willing to take $31000 dollars (this price is firm) for it which I think is a great deal.
