Re: Why isnt my car boosting? (Adriano)
you have got to be kidding me right? before you mess something up take it to someone who knows what they are doing........... ...................... you need alot of things like a downpipe, charge pipes, intercooler, BOV, boost gauge, tunning,

you said it's EXACTLY..other than the wastegate?
well...you're missing a few things..
oil lines
water lines
downpipe
need to tighten up the manifold and turbo
and you need chargepiping
and an intercooler
and a bov
pretty much...the only thing in the pic is the turbo and manifold....FAR from a complete setup

the turbo SUPPLIES the air...that's how you get boost. as it is right now...you're just spinning the turbo...but how's that doing ANYTHING for you....?
the pipe that's on the side of the turbo, lets air into it. the exhaust spins the wheels that compresses that air...and then shoots it through the intercooler/chargepipe..into the throttle body...thus giving you boost

dude, if you have not blown your car up yet, you will soon. i hope you have another motor.
do some research or pay someone that knows what they are doing, because you have no clue.
platinum.

I remember a post where someone install a nitrous fogger in a s200 tapped into the valve cover.
I am a strong believer in doing it yourself, **** sometimes I even tackle jobs that I had no idea where to start. but obviously this case its all common sense, how are you gonna get the boost without connecting anything to the turbo?
