Default well not a Honda but still fab work

I sold my Civic off a while back and now hav ea 2.3Turbo SVO, well the car is alot of fun IRS read, custom guages and well everything else has been changed..all to do away with the Mullet persona..LMAO....well here is a few pics of my latest endever, Its a Volvo head matter to the old 2.3 Ford block..This will allow it to be ad efficient and any other modern 4cyl and make a few more ponies per lb of boost...It will use twin GT28 BB turbos, 4 throttlebodies...anyways also is a link to my Photobucket so you can see my mini turbo Bike im about done with to..lol...............Hal

for the last couple of days we've been discussing this setup on the neon forums (on a 2.4 neon engine of course). i guess u can say there has been arguing going on that a twin turbo 4 cylinder is pointless besides the bling/ bragging factor, over a conventional single turbo setup. so i have posted this link so people can watch on and we can see how this thing turns out. looks good by the way......... oh and im not one of the people who thinks its a bling thing, i think it could yield similar results to a single turbo setup with the added bling factor in there also. so are u going for performance or bling or both?

Well im not realy a bling type person but i wanted to be differant this time, The main reason im going with twins is to seperat the exhaust and have a differant sound...The only way i see it making a performane diff is that two turbos can feed more air mass to the engine with less effort...,or that two turbos can flow more with less boost then a single turbo can...now that will o[pen a totaly diff can of worms...the turbo i used before was a Holset HY35, good to about 550HP on my engine these way way smaller T28s are abole to get about 325HP on a Silvia.......so two of them will out flow my single easily and should with less lag being so small and that the rotating mass is a bit less now too even though there are two of them...but the combined effect with this who conversion is that the head flows over 100CFM more then stock and its ported a bit now so i will make more power sooner with less boost then before.....and to me it looks bad ***..LMAO........As for Neon's im about to build a long ti\ube header to fit the Holset HY35 on a friends 05 SRT....i made a full 3" exhaust and installed a nice size IC for him already...but this Holset will make this engine freak out..............Hal

well in the process of making this set up i sold 2 brand new HY35's and i kept one HY for the Cobra Coupe Kit im building...I just wanted to have seperate exhaust pulses to make it sound different...fires 1.3.4.2 and i paired 1-4 and 2-3 each pair has its own 3" down pipe and full 3" exhaust all the way back no muffs....i made one yrs ago and it sounded like nothing else......................Hal

Forgive my igorance, but the only SVO's I know of that may have used a 4-banger would be a supercoupe, a mustang, and maybe an escort.

What's this going into? ANyways, looks great, twin GT28R's should spool fairly well, esp. with them running off alternating cyl. banks.

mustang SVO, turbo coupe, and merkur x-rat used the 2.3L sohc turbo. the volvo head swap is a very common conversion with just a little bit of fab work to get it working. it's pretty much a cheap way to get a cosworth engine, haha...cept with .3L more displacement

yeah it was alot cheaper to stay single turbo, and i didnt have to buy them but man does it look mean and busy in person...haha im a bit further on the project now...I am still waiting for the new turbos to come in for it......

I love these 2.3 Ford engines...it is definatly my favorite to work on..cheap easy and very very tough...The block in the pics is a dummy bock to work off of and the head and such will go in my SVO on the block thats in it...HAH Asad the car has 90,000 miles on it but the engine has 220,000 miles...its out of an 88 Thunderbird turbo coupe and was in a friends Jeep CJ7 for a few yrs now its in my ride while i build a stroker lower...Before when the SVO ran i was in the 400hp range and just blew hard on the old block and ported head but all parts are stock (i made a custom intake, header and Holset HY35 Turbo)....................Hal
