Default Wilwood 12.19" BBK- Fit 16's?

Mods- Please don't bump, at least for a couple hours...This is wheel related because no one hits the "Brake" forum and I know the "wheel" guys will have a solid answer.

I cannot seem to find anyone who can confirm whether this BBK will work with 16" wheels, I don't see why it shouldn't...but:

Wilwood's Site Says- Works w/some 15" wheels (makes me feel better)
Summit Racing Says- Works w/17" wheels (really?...the rotor's not that big)
All other sites- All over the place...cant trust em'

I've seen some threads on the Wilwood 11" Fastbrakes kit but I wanted a two piece rotor.

Please, if anyone could just confirm, chime in...or even point me in the right direction and excuse my ignorance. I don't want to pull the trigger on this $640 kit without knowing for sure...I feel almost positive it should fit just fine, but would one of you wheel guys confirm for me?

Kit:
Wilwood Dynalite 12" Forged BBK Part #140-6163

Wheel Size:
16x7 et38

Edit:
Here is the installation manual...there is some clarification on page 3, but I'm not sure how to interpret it:

Cheers and Happy Saturday HT!

Worst case scenario you'll need a small spacer to clear the calipers, my guess is your going to be fine with 16" wheels.

The only BBK we stock for your car has a 13" rotor, and we guarantee 17x7 (ET36) to clear. Given your smaller rotor diameter, 16" might squeeze over but (as above) a small spacer may be required. Good luck and post pix when you're done !

I had these brakes before,,, ok,, I had them fit on 16s before... they were enkei zenkei... fits perfectly... and fyi,, not all 17s clear!!! the calipers are really big... stay away from rims with a fat lip... the spokes will more than likely hit your calipers.. you need a full face rim for the most part... hope this helps.. and no,, 15s will not clear... so remember,, full face rims,,no lip...

That's interesting...Wilwood claims this system will fit some 15s.

Anyways, wish me luck ALL! I'll post up if a spacer is needed, etc.

Hey mate, I got this kit shipped out to AUS and if doesn't fit my 17x7 wheels due to the calipers scrubbing on wheel spokes. I have lipped, 5 spoke rims. Looks like itll take quite a large spacer. New wheels are looking like the only solution. How can I try on rims when I can't drive anywhere? Or is there a specific measurement I need?

Today while I was in the shop I saw a guy W/a DC2, he had OZ's and the fit was mega tight...almost too close.

I wasn't able to proceed w/install because I was missing a fixture for the brake lines. Gonna have to get that done another time.

The clearance measurements are in the manual, wilwoods site has them too.

Cheers

I have the 6 piston setup on my ek right now, and 16's clear...barely. I needed a 20mm spacer. Wheel measurement was 16x7 +40 offset. But for the rear which I have the 12.19" rotor aswell it doesn't clear at all. the outside edge of the caliper touches the barrel of the rim, time for a different wheel and some shaving of the rear bracket.

I have them. A very tight fit under 16" wheel, U will be OK without spacer. I can not imagine any 15" wheel that would clear.

They barely fit under a 16x7 +36. Very little clearance between the caliper and the wheel weight

I have them under SSR Comps (see sig for pics) without a spacer running a +42 offset. Barrel and spoke design is AWY more important than offset.

Thanks bud, this looks semi-similar to what I'm running. Hopefully it'll turn out okay.

I'm an idiot and didn't order the wilwood specific lines so I wasn't able to install. I ordered oem style SS lines so of course the NPT fittings didn't work etc... Wish I knew why the wilwood lines are considered "optional???" LOL
