Default painting alum rims

I got a set of american racing rims I like for $80 (tires were shot). clear coat needed redoing. So I stripped them down to bare metal.

So the question is, the inside surface (part that is inside the tire)was painted.
Should it be painted again or just left bare?

Painted. Air has moisture in it. Leaving a moist volume of air entrapped inside a tire, is a great way to incur aluminum oxidation and damage.

Would be advisable to paint and clear the inner barrels.
