Max width/best offset for track setup
So I test fit some 15x7.5 +42 wheels last night on my EK that were wearing 225/45/15 Hankook RS3's. The fronts fit ok, but a part of the suspension in the rear that sticks out too far doesn't allow the wheel to sit all the way on the hub. So I have determined that I may have to go with a lower offset wheel and some skinnier tires.
What's the best setup here? Wheels in the high 30's for offset with a 215 or 205?

have you tried some hub spacers? if thats out of the question cause you shoudnt really use them for racing go with a 15x7 @ a +38 offset it'll fit like a stock rim but still give you that wide base. also run like a 205 tire. that would be alot better.

Think I have decided on some 15x7 Kosei K1 Racing wheels with 205/50/15 Kumho XS tires unless anyone else has any better (inexpensive) ideas.

Re: Max width/best offset for track setup
You will need a +32 offset minimum to run a 7.5" rim, 225/45 will fit as well. That being said it will still hit the UCA and need the lip smoothed down or an aftermarket arm.
Im running a that wheel offset and tire size on mine and it just clears everything.
