Re: maxing out offset? (gezzuzz)
205/50R15 is 1.44% bigger then a stock wheel (good choice)
215/45R15 is 0.58% bigger then a stock wheel (best choice)
215/40R15 is 4.27% smaller then a stock wheel (bad choice)

275/35/15 for the win! but you'll need some custom wheels, and a big friggin hammer for those fenders! 225/45/15 will fit on 15x7 wheels with a 45mm offset, but you may have to check clearances a little fender rolling doesn't hurt..

what tires are you using? what psi? what wheels? what offset are the wheels?
what is the condition of your suspension bushings?
what shocks and/or springs are you running? and alignment specs? ride height?

im on ES100 (i noe those r shitty tires, but o well all i could afford at that time) 30 psi, slipstreams, offset dunno...suspension bushing hasnt been changed runnin on tein SS alignment specs is -1.sumthing... ride height....lowered 2"?

15x7 slips are 40mm offset i think. The ES100 aren't a terrible daily driver choice (its what i run), there are better for track days; i'd just get another set of 15x7 +40 slips and mount 225/45/15 hoosiers or toyo ra1.
alignment, front camber can be something like at least -1.75, rear no more than -1.5 will help with turn in.
My current winter/rain/cold setup is 205/50/15 yoko es100 on 15x7 +45mm Kosei K1, 400F 375R, GC on SPSS3 valved konis, 21mm front, 22mm rear sway. Front dampers are 3/4 from soft, rears are 1/2 from soft. I have all new bushings on, including the trailing arm bushing. New bushings made a difference in smoothness and overall comfort, in addition to overall handling. My setup is adequate for the season.
but I'm curious as to what you feel exactly that makes you think you are not gripping to your full potential? Understeer? Oversteer? etc.. Perhaps your suspension/dampers/spring rates are not ideal?

Re: (chrisw85)
well its the understeer i have the most problem, i want it to have a lil more neutral or have a minimal oversteer the dampers is set on 4 in front and 2 in rear (0 being stiffest and 16 being softest), that give it the oversteer im looking for, but it results in a lil bit of snap oversteer
i didnt know u can fit 225/45 on 15x7s...

whats your rear sway bar size?
you tein ss springs rates dont help all that much with understeer; most tein setups are front biased which makes the car push (understeer) more.
I think the spring rates on the tein ss for 92-95 civics is 448lbs front and 224lbs rear. That'll push for sure. You want more rear bias for less understeer.
