185's on a 195 Wheel?
I have a set of DA GSR wheels.
They usually are fitted with a 195/60/14 Tire
I slammed my car and need a thinner side-wall to clear my fenders.
If I put 185/60/14 Tires on the wheels would the side-walls be thinner?
What problems would arise from stretching the tires that far?
Are tire places legally allowed to stretch the tires that far?

is this for a da or for what car?
the tires will not be stretched. the tires will work on the da rim but then if the tire size doesnt match your car then your speedometer will be off some.

Yes the tire will be thinner but your wheel is still going to be just as wide, so the bead of the tire will stetch slightly and still be rubbing more then likly, and as the speedometer gos it will slightly change and say your going faster then u are, but doubt itll effect it terribly

Yea speedo won't be off that bad, almost none at all because your only sacrificing a few millimeters of rubber by having less width, same percentage height. If it's rubbing on the outside just roll or slightly pull your fenders. It would technically be stretched but not really that much.
I ran a 215 on an 8" wide wheel and never had a problem with it (non-honda), and you could see the stretch but its nothing like the 205's that VW guys are fitting on 9.5" wheels, which is ridiculous IMO but that's a whole different situation.
Also unless you have some type of warranty with those tires and the shop putting them on, I doubt they have to follow by any certain legal rules other than to tell you the 'recommended size' vs whatever you choose.

You've made one mistake - lowering your car too much - and you're asking about how to make a second mistake - using the wrong size tires. Instead, raise your car up partway so it's not lowered so much. You may also want to roll the fenders to allow the stock size tires to fit.

Doesn't matter. Both of them will accommodate the correct tire size for your car. Tire size depends on the car, and the wheels are either within the size range of the tire, specified by the manufacturer, or not.
