Default Tig + Stainless Steel Nuts

So I made one of these things last year with 1.5 inch steel nuts... the thing weighs about 50-60 pounds so I decided to run to parkrose hardware and make a mini version of it with some 3/8ths inch stainless nuts.

I have a 200DX welder it was set at about 65 amps or so?? I didn't use any filler rod except in a couple spots, but the metal was good enough and close enough proximity to eachother to just do some fusion welds.. assembly was pretty quick... Although this is kinda fun I'm tempted to buy about 1000 3/8ths inch stainless nuts off ebay and really go to down on them.

I'm tempted to make some stainless steel flowers for this girl I've been talking to. It's really nice if you stack 2 nuts on top of each other and only tig one side they start to curve so its really interesting to get some nice shapes.

Anywho if anyone has any ideas feel free... I'm bored

Let me know what you think.

So I spent about 3 hours today making this for a girl I think is great.

I'm going to add 2-3 more smaller flowers with 3 nuts each and probably shorter stainless steel rods.. I used 8th inch stainless rod... I will never use that thick of filler rod unless I'm welding boats or something or something over 150 amps..... like boats...

I added 4 smaller ones now

Wait what? photos??

I googled that, looks kinda neat! except ... well if you are attempting to tig a coke can to attach the petals together that has probably got to take some skill or 5 amps! if that.

You should make a box or bowl or something like that out of washers.

Washers might be good actually, I would like to avoid cutting any so I think if I were to make a bowl out of washers I think I would need to use various sizes..

Haha I'm so going to Ikea..

I like the 2nd set of stuff better 20 peices at 8.99 not bad, the other is 3.99 for 20 pieces... they will probably look at me funny if I buy a couple sets..

I don't know why but using a tig on stainless steel is amazing the metal is so nice you dont have to use filler rod it just melts where you want it!

I wonder if I could shack up with some female there and get me stuff at cost........ Id have a life size sculpture made out of spoons and such...
