S488 Turbo Manifold w/twin 50mm gates, Intake manifold w/8 injectors
I just finished this intake manifold, turbo manifold, and fuel rails.
Setup is for Sean @ NewGenMotorsports in Las Vegas Nevada. It's for his drag SRT-4. Turbo is a Borg Warner S488, Accufab 90mm TB, and NewGen Turbonetics 50mm wastegates. Enjoy!

Looks good man, but those wastegate angles are going to suck. Glad you have two big gates on there.

Ernie that t4 flange looks hella thin....and I would HIGHLY suggest welding those seams on the inside or a crack will stem from the inside...just a thought

It's actually a T6 flange. That may be why it looks a bit thin. 3/8" flange...could've been 1/2".
If I weld the inside of the collector I'm creating a large porous pocket that WILL crack. It's been in my experience that by not welding the inside of the collector I will prevent cracks from forming...and reforming (as welding up the crack that has been generated only closes the porous pocket again)
Weld porosity = the suck.
The wastegate is not the priority in this setup... which I guess you noticed

That looks terrible Eric. It'll probably be slow, high 13's if you're lucky.

thats one of the more beautifully crafted manifold i've ever seen.
how much power does this thing need to make to justify that crazy turbo?

**** looks sick Eric, glad to see you're still welding. As for the wastegates, I'm sure the car won't see low boost, plus its divided.

He's shooting for 1100+
From what I was told it's a custom auto gear box and it will have LOTS-O-NAWZ.
Thanks for the comments guys. I've been busy with my day job (Performance Calibration Engineer) and I haven't had much time to make it out to the garage. I also spend too much time over on Evom now that I'm an Evo fan boi.
I'll have pics up soon of a spec miata that's been in my garage for over a month now lol. I just got an S14 dropped off that's getting some special 2JZ sauce. I'll have to post pics.

looks awesome as always, I have one of your manifolds as my background from a long time ago.

I lathed up the runners and the bellmouths for Eric. The runners have a 2 degree internal taper on them. From our calculations the manifold is approximately 6.1 liters in volume: it's massive!

doesnt really seam like much penatration on any of the welds? i can understand pockets being a problem but if you weld all the way through then theres no pocket right? this has to be more prone to cracking than full penatration? ive made a ton of manifolds and have had problems in the past with small beveling and lack of penatration but since large bevels, full penatration and purging ive not had one issue. idk, seems like with a setup creating that much heat you would want to do whatever you could to make the manifold be one solid piece. the fitment looks great though, oh and wastegate control is still very important on high boost cars. bad placement and angle with still cause fluctuations and spikes, even when venting small amounts of air. i usually really like your stuff but this one seems a little more "show" and less "go".
