Default Ramsond?

http://ramsond.com/shop/produc...d=142

Anyone have experience with these multipurpose machines? Are replacement consumables easy to source? What about customer service if a machine would need repaired? I know Miller/Lincoln are the machines of choice for the professional, but would something like this work well for the averge joe doing occasional work? Thanks for any input.

Never heard of ramsond. Its CDM machines, no address, no company info and the only means of contacting them is an email address and a 1-800 #.

Tell us what your looking for so you can get some suggestions/feedback.

they look like every other chinese rebadged welders. They're are about a billion different brands of the same exact welder that is made in the same factory in china. Look on ebay and you'll know what i'm talking about.

Hay man don’t let anyone bull **** ya!

China ant what it uses to be.

Most of Caterpillar’s small diesel motors including the one in my $30,000.00 246B skidsteer are made in CHINA by Mitsubishi. It’s a 82hp 3044 motor “ROCK SOLID”.

Bobcat’s skidsteers have Perkins motors built by Mitsubishi IN CHINA yet it's a “ROCK SOLID” motor to

I opened my BRAND NEW Lincoln 175 welder up last night to see all the plugs and switches say CHINA

These people are professionals when it comes to reverse engineering they just needed someone stupid enough to give um a look inside, lol.

SP I went for the Ramsond cut 40dx, if it’s going to have Chinese parts in it it might as well cost less to. DUH

Don’t let anyone pull your chain about how “ALL” the china stuff sucks, if it sucked that bad then “Lincoln, Miller, Hobart, Caterpillar, Bobcat, Chevy, Ford, Dodge, Est, Est, Est, would not use there parts.

Just my two cents.

Rick

well it not the fact that they are made in china. it's their warranties and customer support that sucks ***.

Caterpillar is a very reputable american company that uses some chinese parts but they are still manufactured in the US. If the machine breaks they have people who can fix it or is covered under warranty. The big deal about these chinese companies is most of them have people who barely speak english so how are you suppose to get any customer support if their products break.

Believe me if there was a reputable company from china who was able to market their products and provide good customer service and support then I wouldn't mind buying their machines. I wouldn't say they were harbor freight pos though, they are better than that.

I think you hit the nail on the head, it's NOT so much where it was built as much as it is WHO it is built for.

Rick

If you do a little research you'll find Cat motors are MADE IN CHINA not USA.

"For more than 30 years, Caterpillar customers in China have benefited from the unparalleled value that comes with owning and operating Caterpillar machines and engines," said Rich Lavin, Caterpillar vice president with responsibility for Asia Pacific manufacturing operations. "The plan to build these engines in China demonstrates our long-term commitment to this critically important market and to our customers."

Caterpillar core products manufactured in China include hydraulic excavators, track-type tractors, motor graders and paving products, large diesel engines used primarily for marine and power generation applications and generator sets for use in China and the Asia Pacific region. Caterpillar also manufactures components at several facilities in China. In addition, Caterpillar holds a minority stake in Shandong SEM Machinery Co., Ltd. (SEM), one of China's leading wheel loader manufacturers.

In addition to its core machine, engine and component manufacturing locations, Caterpillar operations in China also include logistics, remanufacturing, financial leasing, training, marketing and research and development. Caterpillar's independent dealer network also provides sales and product support to customers across greater China.

Well if it helps, I purchased a 40 amp Ramsond plasma cutter over 4 years ago and have used the hell out of it on everything from sheet metal to over 3/4 iron beams without any problems to date. My Harley Davidson and my 246B Cat skidsteer had more Chinese parts then my cutter did, lol.
