need some feedback
I was having problems welding something and decided to test it on this piece of metal before going back to my project. The bead on the edge had some problems, and I changed out my gas lense and tungsten before trying to run the other beads. I think the tungsten got polluted while welding earlier. I figured I would take a pic to see what kind of feedback I could get to improve my welding. I decided to pick up a welding machine and learn how to weld as a hobby after finishing up my bachelor degree. So far the welds I have done are I guess decent but nothing like the good stuff I see here.
I am using a Syncrowave 180SD and the current was around 105ish amps when welding this flat bar. I think it was about 3/16 or 1/4" thick. I was using 3/32 mild steel filler metal and I believe the tungsten was the same diameter.
here is my pic. I put a wire wheel to the flat bar after welding to be able to get a decent pic.
