I'm sorry, the thickness wasn't specified to me but I believe somewhere between 1/8" ans 3/8"...I did two 1/4" single pass and 1 1/4" first pass and 1" second pass, and finally 1 3 1/4" passes over top of each other. Ask more questions if you like and I'll awnser them when I return from work.

uhh thats probably not a good idea to be doing at your new job.
