Best settings for harbor frieght mig welder?!!!!
I am currently in the process of shaving my EG hatches engine bay but instead of closing the small holes i am making it bigger.
wats the best settings to put on my 90 amp mig welder so i i can weld up my engine bay holes?

set it as low as you can what is the wire thickness your using.. let it ball up then hit with a flapper wheel like 120 grit..

i have the biggest mig they have 171 mig it works well its not miller but it gets the job done with gas

the holes are getting bigger because you are burning through it.
turn down the wire speed and use less amperage.
u could also cut out small sections of steel and weld those in, instead of trying to fill a large gap. novices will have troubles filling gaps especially with a shitty flux core welder.

You need to make a row of tacks, not weld a seam. Tack, skip an inch, tack, skip an inch and so forth. Then come back and fill the space between the tacks in a similar manner until the seam is filled. Then grind off the welds.

you're having burn through issues, click over to "LOW"
open up the wire feed mechnism, clip that straw they have,
turn your wire feed speed down to about 5.
no go get 1/2" thick piece of copper, strike your arc on THAT, buid you puddle up on that until it makes a plug weld looking thing
pull off the copper piece and grind flush both ends.
its not pretty, its not sophisticated, and it makes a real shitty weld. but then again you have a $90 welder!!!!
