FS: 1997 GSR for parts car or fixer $2800
The time has come for me to part ways with the GSR. I have owned it since it was new. It was dubbed a Comptech GSR from the dealership as it came with all the Comptech goodies which most of them are now gone.
The BAD:
The body is rough. It is developing rust where most DC2s do.
Due to a having fun incident in the snow, the ITR lip and right side of the front bumper is damaged. (can replace the lip with my spare NBP lip)
The rearview mirrors need paint as well.
It is throwing an EVAP code as the canister and sensor need replacing.
The motor has a B16 head on it which IMO impedes the car performance greatly in VTEC.
Power mirrors have not worked since 2001, never fixed them as I tend to not need to adjust them.
The steering rack needs rebulit/replaced.
This was a smokers car.
2 years ago, a trailer lost a wheel on an overpass and hit the front of the car. The bumper, hood, radiator support and right headlight were replaced at that time.
237K in the odo.
Interior:
2001 ITR gauge cluster (w/ the GSRs OG odo)
2001 ITR climate control w/faux cf
2001 ITR clock
2001 ITR center console w/faux cf
JDM ITR red stich shift boot
2001 ITR rear seats
JDM ITR door panels
GSR front seats ( drivers side has bad wear and the pass side has a cig burn)
B18C5 dealer replacement block ( 100k miles)
1998 ITR transmission
Exedy stage 1 clutch/Comptech flywheel (clutch replaced late 2011)
Toda header (RUSTY)
Apexi WS exhaust (unknown cat)
B16 head with 1998 ITR cams
ITR IM with JDM ITR TB
BNIB Alternator (uninstalled)
JDM ITR 5 lug conversion
22mm ITR rear sway bar w/ Comptech subframe support
ITR shocks/springs (milage unknown)
Price reflects the condition of the car. Steel wheels with Blizzacks will be sold with the car, but I am willing to neg. to sell with GM ITR rims with Hankook RS2s and to replace the GSR front seats with 9.5/10 ITR seats from my 01 ITR.
